Diwali Cards

Hello friends!
I am here today, after a long time, to showcase the Diwali cards made by me.

It's Diwali time here in India and we are all celebrating the festival with our families. I quickly took some time out to share my cards with you all.

Here are the cards I made for sending out to my friends and few made on order.

Single layered cards

The cards are made using Distress inks through stencils and stamping Diwali sentiments on them. Few have additional pop-up elements such as Diyas and rockets.
They are embellished with sequins, twines and tiny Ghungroos.
The envelopes too were stamped with a matching sentiment.

I have additionally used the Fun foils (Foiling without the machine) by Craftyscrappers for the "happy" die-cut on the orange cards and on other cards, it is covered with glossy accents.

Thank you for dropping by!

Wishing you all a very Happy and a Prosperous Diwali!!

Adhered this panel on a grey card base.I stamped the Unicorn on a white card, coloured and fussy cut it. Foam mounted the unicorn on the card.

DIY treat bags

Hello friends!
I am back again at the blog with a DIY tutorial.

We often give out gifts to kids for birthdays or even as birthday return gifts. How about making environment-friendly treat bags to give these gifts.

Today, I am going to show you how to make pretty treat bags using two stamp sets - Hogs & Kisses and Peek-a-boo from Craftyscrappers.

Here's a look at the treat bags!

Materials needed to make these treat bags
A4 sized coloured papers
Stamp sets (Peek-a-boo and Hogs & Kisses)
Archival ink
Zig clean markers (or your choice of colours)
Scrap papers
Satin ribbon/twine
Foam adhesive

A step-by-step pictorial guiding you in making your own treat bags.

I took an A4 size paper.
(The paper size would depend on the size of your gift.)
Folded half-inch margin at one edge. Folded the remaining paper into half.

Folded /Scored half an inch at the one end of this folded paper and one and a half inch at the other end.

Opened the sheet and cut the marked parts.

On cutting/trimming the marked parts, you get a sheet with scored sides.

I took Archival ink and my favourite stamp set. I took two images from the stamp set and stamped the images randomly all over the sheet (rotating the image randomly) Let the ink dry before the next step.
Here, I have used different coloured papers to make the treat bags. You can also use a white sheet and lightly colour these stamped images.

Once the ink dried, I adhered the adhesive tape to the two margins on the sheet. Peeled open the tape and assembled the treat bag by bringing in the sides together. The one and a half inch margin remain open as it is the lid/cover of the treat bag.  Repeated the process with all the three bags.

The treat bags are ready.

On a watercolour cardstock, I stamped the critters from the Hogs and Kisses stamp set, using Archival ink. Coloured the critters with zig markers and fussy cut them.

Cut tags from scrap pieces of CS.
Assemble the tag using the fussy-cut critters and the sentiments.

Now fill the treat bags, tie a ribbon/twine around it to close it.
Tie the tag along with the ribbon/twine.

Here are all the finished treat bags.

Hope you enjoyed making these Eco-friendly treat bags.
Wasn't it easy and exciting to make these?

I would love to hear from you.

Happy Halloween

A new challenge begins today at Fabrika Fantasy
The theme for this month is Pink or Halloween.

Here's my DT inspiration card for it.

I have used the Halloween dog digi for this card.
I printed the digi, coloured it with pencil colours and fussy cut it. On a white card I blended the Fossilized amber DI with the Worn lipstick DO. Hand-cut the city view using black CS. Added the white lights using white gel pen. Adhered this city view panel to the card. Mounted the digi on the card. Adhered two punched black circles to make the hanging spiders. Lastly added the sentiment.

Here is my DT inspiration for the same.

The digi I have used for my project is the "Mouse and Hedgehog".
Here's a link to the image.

I coloured the Digi with pencil colours and die-cut it with a stitched rectangle die.
On a Pastel yellow CS, I Stuck few washi tapes vertically.
Mounted the die-cut image with foam adhesive.
Matted the sentiment with a strip of coloured paper and foam mounted it overlapping the image.

Thank you for dropping by....
